Feet Diaries: The Walk Of 2010
As 2010 is coming to a close and I’m moving into the next phase of life, I find myself reflecting on the walk my feet have taken this year. It has not been a steady pace by any means, I found myself coasting, climbing and literally as well as proverbially running and sliding and slipping through the mud. Through the ups, downs and turn arounds I’ve had an incredible chronicle to digest and I’m finally taking the time to tell the tale of my feet, as they jumped from West to East, East to West and a few stops in between. It’s been a time of great accomplishment as I walked through the highs and lows of humanity and witnessed the disparate ends of remarkable compassion to hopeless desperation, which has taught me volumes about the human spirit, and myself.
Along the journey I met lifelong friends, some of which I love as family now and strangers that will haunt my dreams for years. I’ve been welcomed into the most intimate of settings and embraced like I had always been there. I will forever be changed by what I experienced along the road to fulfilling desires and aspirations that were harder than I’d ever imagined and took strength I wasn’t aware was hidden in my arsenal. I’ve gained a world experience as I tested the waters of strange lands and through it all I grew a true appreciation for those who stand with me, new additions to my world, of course, but especially those right here at home, where I’ve had a family all along.
These are The Diaries Of My Feet – 2010.
